How is the calorie goal calculated? Does it change as I move through the program?
Your daily calorie needs are the calories you need to maintain your weight. This number is based on your height and weight.
To lose 1-2 pounds per week, a healthy weight loss goal for most adults, you need to burn 3,500 more calories each week than you take in. That’s about 500 calories per day.
We do the daily calorie calculation for you and display your calorie goal under the Goals tab on your dashboard. Once you reach your 7% weight-loss goal, your calories will be decreased another 500 calories per day to help you to continue to lose weight and reach your goal.
